Direct admission to IMED Pune depends on the programme you are interested in. Students who want to enroll in undergraduate programs such as BBA and BCA must attempt the B-UMAT entrance exam. Based on the merit list, they will get admission. But for graduates with a BCA or BSc degree with at least 50% aggregate, the institute also offers direct admission into the second year of MCA. Direct entrance is generally not an option for postgraduate programs such as MBAs. Moreover, students can also visit the official website to get all the details for their preferred program.

The admissions are done on the basis of score obtained in MAHCET, BMAT exam and many others. Cut offs are different for different categories like SC, ST, General, OBC, EWS and PWD. Admissions in MBA are done on the basis of the scores obtained in MAHCET. The cut offs for General and OBC categories are around 70 percentile and 90 percentile in MAHCET exam respectively. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the scores obtained in an entrance exam are called for Personal Interview rounds and they are further screened  for final selection at the institute.
