Institute of Management Development and Research is a private college and was established in 1974 as a constituent unit of the Deccan Education Society. It is one of the leading Management colleges in Pune and offers AICTE-approved courses to students. The college is affiliated with the University of Pune, accredited by the NBA,  and a member of AIU. Further, IMDR Pune is also approved by DTE and its PGDM courses are given equivalence to an MBA programme by AIU.

As per the IMDR Pune fee structure, there are multiple components including in the total fee. Students need to pay a certain amount of fee at the time of admission to confirm their seats. The total fee for two years of PGDM course is INR 5 lakh.Moreover, the fee for FPM programme, the course fee for first and second year is INR 2 lakh.
