You don't get an immediate admission to the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) in the MBBS course. The admissions to MBBS courses are done based on the NEET-UG (pronounced NEET for undergraduate courses) score. There is no provision for direct admission. For admission into Postgraduate (MD/MS) courses, one should qualify in NEET-PG and go through counseling.MBBS or MD/MS direct admissions at IPGMER strictly follow the centralized entrance examination system (NEET-UG and NEET-PG) without exception.
