In order to fulfill IIT JAM 2018 eligibility criteria, candidates should hold a Bachelors degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates). It may be noted that the aggregate marks should be without rounding off and take into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined, informs the official website. Candidates who have appeared or will appear for their graduation exams in 2018 are also eligible to apply. The placements depend a lot on the economic condition of the country (e.g. recessions affect all). Unfortunately, Jalandhar has a slight locational disadvantage when compared to a place connected with an airport. A large number of recruiters seek easy travel options when it comes to going for campus placements. This trend is gradually changing for the better. I believe the credibility of the above statement depends on how you judge the NITs. If your judgement is purely based on placements and packages, then I can assure with no doubt that NIT-Trichy is not just the best among all NITs but also better than a few IITs. However, if you also take into account student facilities, mess food, internet access and faculty profiles, then I myself doubt it.
2. Students have a greater role to play here than any other college.
