An architect can work as an interior designer but an interior designer cannot. Architecture includes both the designing of interior and exterior spaces of a particular area or project. Interior designing includes interior spaces and detailing. B.Arch has interior design as a subject. If you have inclination in detailing interior spaces, you should perceive Bachelors in Interior Designing and if you want both or design as major, you should go for BArch course. ID is possible after any +2 or +3.
ID is a lower qualification as compared to D.Arch.
You will get jobs under architects.
B.Arch/AMICE (Arch.) is the proper qualification.

Yes there is an entrance exam for National Institute of Design. The institute conducts a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) as an admission criteria, that happens in two phases.
