Yes, IIIT Hyderabad offers part-time courses as well. The professionals are encouraged by the institute to enroll in the PG programmes on a part-time basis also. IIIT Hyderabad also offers MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes along with a few courses, namely MSIT and PGSSP courses at PG and doctoral levels. For all these courses, admission is also entrance-based. In addition to these part-time courses, IIIT Hyderabad offers degree programmes to its aspirants at UG, PG and doctorate (PhD) levels. For admission to BTech-MS at IIIT Hyderabad, ranking is done separately for each board. PhD students can take the relevant courses in the first one or two semesters, depending on the background, just like a student of MS by research. After the first year, the student works on clearing the PhD qualifying exam which tests his or her breadth of knowledge in the field of study. Final selection to PhD at IIIT Hyderabad is subject to a valid score in one among PGEE/ Winter Research Entrance Test (WREE)/ GATE exam.
