Doing engineering does not necessarily mean that you have to work in that particular sector. It is just a graduation course and B.Tech especially offers a wide variety of careers to choose after its completion. If you are interested in financial markets you could probably do Masters in that field. As per my suggestion, I think, you should complete your graduation and then go ahead with financial markets for further studies.

It all depends in which you are in. Which finance company comes there for recruitment? Moreover, before looking for the finance company make your finance area strong, you need to have good knowledge of equity market, mutual funds, market analysis etc. Why to worry from now, first enter into the field and then explore it.

You can become a investment banker after your graduation but you can pursue internship in a investment bank. You can become a investment banker by B.COM/BBA. But finance/ accountancy is compulsory.

If you are willing to go for investment banking you can either do an MBA in finance or prepare for CFA after your graduation. CFA will be a better option amongst the two. CFA is a 3 level course just like CA.
