However, they can use the rough sheet or scribble pad provided to them during the exam to jot down the formulas, solve numerical problems and make rough calculations. It is important to note that the rough sheet or scribble pad is meant for rough work and calculations only, and candidates are not allowed to carry it out of the examination hall. Candidates should use the rough sheet or scribble pad judiciously and avoid wasting time on unnecessary rough work. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before the start of the exam to understand the rules and regulations regarding the use of the rough sheet or scribble pad.

IPM is considered one of India's the toughest exams, with a low success rate. You can expect 20-30 thousand students taking IPMAT to compete for just 150 seats this year. This means only 0.75% of students will clear the exam to study at IIM, indicating competition and the difficulty level of the exam. The aptitude test has two sections- Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability. Although the aptitude test is based on basic high school mathematics, the English language and logical reasoning. IPMAT selection procedure includes
Submit Application Form: Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria must submit their Application Form. One candidate submitting multiple forms with minor changes will not be accepted. Aptitude Test: Candidates who are eligible for the exam will be called for the Aptitude Test in to be held in 34 test centres (eligibility based on the form submitted). Candidate Selection: Eligible candidates for Personal Assessment are created for candidates who have positive raw score and minimum marks in all 3 sections of the paper. The cutoff depends on category. Candidates who have not been selected will receive a regret letter. PA Shortlist: Personal Assessment Shortlist will be created from the candidates selected at stage 3 from all categories using the merit list generated from ATS score. Shortlisted candidates will now appear for Personal Assessment. A consistent and minimum performance is expected in all parameters of the PA (decided by admission committee). Final Selection: Candidates who have MET the minimum parameters in the previous stage will be considered for considered for the final selection. Dear aspirant, Firstly, focus on your strengths and weaknesses and allocate the time accordingly. Be thorough with the paper pattern and important topics for IPMAT before making the plan, as it will give you an idea about which topics you need to cover first. Divide the topics from most important to least important as per the weightage from each subject. Don't include tough subjects continuously. Try to mix and match the topics. If you assign a tough concept from the quant, choose an easy topic from IPMAT verbal ability section. In this way, you can build interest to study more and not get bored. Jot down essential terms or complex formulas from the topic you are studying, which can help during revision. Also, make sure to keep sufficient time for revision at the end of the day. So from above QA, Verbal ability are the common for both exams but Reasoning and General Intelligence and General Knowledge are the additional in UGAT.
