Few of the common mistakes done by students while preparing for CET-IPU are:Not having a proper time table: Students work hard, but many of them do not prepare a daily/weekly time table. Time-table must be in such a way that it must be promising and must be followed.Clearing doubts: A lot of students feel shy to ask about their doubts about their faculties and at that moment, they leave those doubts and move on which creates problems for exam preparation and revision.Regular revision: Needs to regularly revise all the concepts, formulae and shortcuts learnt, else, it might become difficult to recall them on the day of the final exam. For this, you can keep half a day aside every week or fortnight, wherein you would be revising all that you have covered so far. Skipping mock test: Mock tests are for revision. In that, they clear their doubts and give details about time management and tell you how much you need to prepare.Analysis of mock test: You must need to give a maximum of 8 mock tests and analyse every mock test.Giving up in the middle of the journey: Many students think that it’s not possible to crack the exam. Study Plan
Before starting your exam preparation, create a study plan for your preparation. Divide your time equally for all the sections as per your course. Gather all the information about the official syllabus. Research about the study materials you are going to use for better exam preparations. Try to attempt Mathematics
questions using shortcut methods.
Time Management
For exam preparations, you need to focus on studies and manage your time. Make a proper time-table and prepare accordingly. Study for at least five to six hours a day. Add some time for breaks and other activities which can help you to refresh.
Study Materials & Previous Year Question Papers
Practice only from those books which almost cover the entire syllabus of the exam. Students can also prefer NCERT books for preparations. Also solve the previous year question papers and compare your answers with the given solved papers. It will help you to understand your mistakes and difficult areas and after that you can work on it.
Mock Tests
You should practice mock tests daily and while solving the questions always keep in mind that you have only some limited time to solve the mock test. This will help you to score good marks in the examination. By practicing the mock test, you can understand the exam pattern and accordingly manage your time to solve the question.

If you are from a school/college that is not affiliated with CBSE, I would suggest you go for the NCERT books first in all the three categories, and then move on to the other books.
