The information available reveals that CET has not cancelled and it will be contacted this year also like last year. Unfortunately the university webpage giving details about this it still not updated and giving information for the academic session 2018-19. But I am sure shortly University will update the same. I am attaching a link from the university website that will give you all the dates for the academic year 18-19. Its based on the common syllabus of 11th and 12th. Unlike JEE, the questions aren't conceptual, like u don't need to apply formula from 5 different units to get a single answer. Revising properly from the notes of 11th and 12th will do the job. The formula based questions are easy to understand and there aren't usually any linguistic loopholes hidden within the question that you might miss in a hurry. Plain reading of the eligibility criteria of this university in Delhi for lateral admission in their engineering courses indicates that you indeed are eligible to appear for their entrance test and seek admission. Of course there are some more criterias as well about the minimum percentage you need to score in your diploma et cetera.
