The applicant must initially register at the ISI Application Portal. An account will be created for the applicant in the portal, through which she/he can conveniently ll up the application form and also make payment of the application fee after submission of the form. After completion of application, the applicant will be able to pay the application fee through the payment gateway. Payment can be made in the online mode (See application portal for details).Once the candidate has registered in the Application Portal, veri ed the e-mail address, lled up Category information and chosen an Academic Programme, the portal will show only the relevant Admission Channels to the candidate.

The ISI Admission Test 2025 will be conducted for the candidates who wish to get enrol in the UG and PG courses in Mathematics and Statitistics at ISI Kolkata and other campuses located across the nation.In order to appear for the examination, candidates first need to register themselves by filling out the ISI admission test process 2025. So far the examination coducting body is yet to annouce the exam notification and application form start dates. It is anticipated that the application form will be available on the web portal in the first week of March 2025 and the last date for filling out the ISI Admission Test 2025 application form will be First week fo April 2025, tentatively. 

The major objectives of the Institute, as stated in its Memorandum of Association, are:(i)   to promote the study and dissemination of knowledge of Statistics, to develop statistical theory and methods, and their use in research and practical applications generally, with special reference to problems of planning for national development and social welfare;(ii)   to undertake research in various elds of natural and social sciences with a view to the mutual development of Statistics and these sciences;(iii)  to provide for, and undertake, the collection of information, investigations, projects, and operational research for purposes of planning and the improvement of efficiency of management and production.

Over the last several years, the Institute has been very actively pursuing an institution-level collaboration that has led to Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with numerous universities/academic institutions as well as industrial organisations. These MOUs range from collaborative research to research grants for students/faculty as well as student/faculty exchange programmes.
