You can apply for the common entrance exam IIT JAM held for IITs and IISc institutes for the M.Sc. PSc-PhD and other integrated courses. The IIT JAM exam is scheduled on 9th February 2020 in online mode only. After qualifying the exam, you may apply for the institutes based on IIT JAM scores. There are six subjects included into IIT JAM exam which are physics, chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, Biotechnology and Mathematical Statistics. The Exam pattern for the IIT JAM exam is as follows:

the level of entrance for b stats indian statistical institute Kolkata is same as IIT. But what makes this exam more difficult is less no of seats available in indian statistical institute Kolkata. Hope this answers your query. All the best!
