It has a strong reputation for its production engineering department, with a well-established curriculum and good placement opportunities, making it a preferred option over NIT Agartala for this specific branch. You must go for JU instead of NIT.

BTech course tuition fee at Jadavpur University varies from one specialisation to another. The tuition fee ranges from INR 15,630 to INR 1.2 lakh for the Engineering programmes. Yes, you are eligible in jadavpur university and you can apply for WBJEE to pursue BE in Chemical Engineer from Jadavpur University. Student from any state in India can apply for WBJEE. You just need a domicile certificate which claims reservations for government institutions. There is also an eligibility criteria where you have to pass class 12 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as these are the compulsory subjects.
