But, evening/distance/online engineering courses are not valid any more as per the latest supreme court verdict, hence would recommend you to join regular B.Tech course for better career prospects:

Admission for M.Tech 2018 in Jadavpur University is done through counselling based on the rank obtained in GATE. The minimum eligibility to apply for this course is that a candidate should have secured a minimum of 60% in graduation.

Basic eligibility for admission in Jadavpur University for B.Sc chemistry is that candidate must have cleared their class 12th examination with mandatory subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2. Candidate must have secured minimum 65% marks for General Category, 58.5% of marks for OBC Category, 48% of marks for SC and ST Category and 40% of marks for PWD Category in mandatory subjects.
