Presidency University is not more expensive than Jadavpur university .Presidency University was established in 2010 offering total 38 courses whereas Jadavpur University was established in 1955 offering total 171 courses .Presidency University offers courses for 3 years in 5,400 INR . Jadhavpur University has 50 seats and prsidency University has 28. The fee structure compratively is also less for all courses in Preseidency than Jadavpur University.

Presidency is new University and Jadavpur University is older one and having ranking higher than the presidency University. Also jadavpur university provides higher package than Presidency University.Jadavpur University provides package of 5.04 Lacs per annum where as Presidency offers 3.40 Lacs per annum. Also the jadavpur University students got special recognition as compared to other universities so one should prepared Bsc from jadavpur university rather than Presidency University

Yes, you can get admission in Jadavpur University.The procedure to get lateral entry into JU is only through JELET.Jadavpur University having a minimum seats for lateral entry students specially in core department (Electrical and Mechanical) having 1–2 seats and only one seat for Civil.
