The total course fee of this university multiple components such as the tuition fee, admission fee, library fee, security deposit, etc. Jadavpur University BTech tuition fee range between INR 9,600 and INR 1.21 lakh. Additionally, the hostel fee ranges between INR 900 and INR 1,200. Some amount of the total fee has to be paid for seat confirmation. Yes, Jadavpur University is a good option for Engineering students. The University has been ranked 9 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024 under the “Engineering” category. Jadavpur University also has a very good placement record for Engineering students.The highest package offered in the university 2023 placements was INR 85 LPA as per media reports to a student of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department. Over 1,000 students were placed in the placement drive. Moreover, nearly 35 students received placement package between INR 35 LPA and INR 45 LPA.

The university houses laboratories, classrooms, a library, and cafeterias. Some of the other campus facilities include medical and sports facilities, a gym and shuttle service, and an auditorium, among others.

Jadavpur University offers fee waivers in the form of full and half freeships to needy and meritorious students who cannot afford their fees. The scholarships are offered on the basis of recommendations of departments. A maximum of 10 percent of students is covered under the full freeship scheme. The University also offers stipends on a means-cum-merit basis. Around 80 stipends are distributed among the needy and meritorious students out of which one-fourth is for the first-year students.
