There are some specific eligibility criteria that the candidates will have to fulfill for WBJEE admission into Jadavpur University. No, JEE Main is not neccessary for admission to BE at Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE for BE admission. The WBJEE Cutoff 2024 was released for Jadavpur University. The Cutoff was released category-wise for AI and HS quota candidates. Jadavpur University has 13 hostels with provision for accommodating over 1,600 students. Interested students need to fill out the application form and submit it to the Office of Dean of Students. As per the information available on web, Jadavpur University considers family income, distance from the home town and interview of students in allocating hostels. Students who wish to opt for hostel need to pay INR 3,000 at the time of admission.

As per the official website of Jadavpur University, a students required a cumulative attendance of 60% and above to sit for semester examination. However, there is no strict rule. As per the information of web, there are no strict attendance policy as students are also involves in various cultural actitivities. However, it is best to keep the attendance at a minimum of 60%.
