IFIM is most famous for PGDM FINANCE. I am sure you will not regret it provided you work for it. Faculty of Finance are good and visiting faculties from industry teach few subjects. Placements for finance are good. Companies like Copal Amba , Deloitte, ICICI securities etc come for placements. Campus is located in the heart of electronic city where different companies like Infosys, 3M, Wipro etc are located.

I don't think that will effect your admission provided you have a good score in competitive exam and above 60% in your academics. I am sure you have a reason for that arrear but keep in mind not to repeat it.
I suggest you to take care of your academics in PGDM, make sure you have a decent CGPA of 6 and above. So that you can sit for placements.

IFIM Business School is a good college for PGDM.
For placements companies like ICICI securities, Copal Amba, Britannia, Nestlé, Deloitte, Fujitsu , etc come to college.
Placements depends on your performance in academics and in the interview. College will help you in building your personality and prepare you for corporate world.
IFIM offers three unique programs 1.Mentorship (where corporates help you in achieving your goals with continuous guidance 2. PEP (Personality Enhancement Program) 3. IIP (Industry Internship Program Where we have to work for 4months after completing the course.

IFIM is famous for three main aspects 1. Mentorship where in experts from corporate guide us towards our goal.

IFIM Business School is located in the heart of Electronic city In Bangalore. Electronic City is an Industrial Area.
It offers PGDM-Finance , PGDM General and PGDM International Business. In General you can choose to specialize in finance, marketing, HR, operations , Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a new course which was introduced this year.
Hostel is 5Km far from college. For 6 months incase of a double occupancy it's Rs.60,000 & single occupancy is Rs.67,500. It includes accommodation and food.
Faculties at IFIM are with industry experience. They connect topics well with the on going changes in the corporate world.
