From the past trends, if you come under the open category; 57% or above in Hsc can help you get admission in B.Sc. Course in Jai Hind College. This percent is not exact and sometimes admission is possible even at a lower percent than this. However it is generally around 50s. Their are 60 seats of BSs in IT at Jai hind College and all seats are filled via merit list, in-house admission or specialised quota admission (included in merit list). Hence there's no such minimum cutoff for any course in Jai Hind College, it all depends on the merit list. So at least good marks 70+ is required to take admission of your choice.

Hi, actually it is based on both the best 4 subjects and the overall percentage, whichever is better. So, you need not to worry about it at all. For Mithibai College and Jai Hind College, both are equivalent, so you decide whichever is better.

Studying I. T. in my first year in a college in Pune, I keep track of the placements every year. The placements in my college for both CS and I. T. are believed to be the best in the city and no company which comes to our campus has any criteria which says that only CS students are allowed to appear for their aptitude tests and subsequent interviews. Also, if I. T. students have as much or more knowledge and expertise in programming and software development than CS students, I don't see any reason to distinguish between the two branches. This is a preconceived notion which needs to be removed.
