The eligibility requirements for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) did not involve a minimum percentage or marks in Class 12 for the majority of participating institutes. Experts share that the IIT JAM exam is difficult to clear. This is not because the difficulty level of the questions asked is very high but because the selection ratio through the IIT JAM exam is low. However, this does not mean that the questions asked in the exam are very easy.

IIT Madras, the exam authorities, opened the IIT JAM 2024 application modification window on November 24, 2023. IIT JAM 2024 applicants who committed any mistakes while filling out the application form will get the chance to edit the incorrect details and submit the correct ones.IIT JAM 2024 application correction portal will be open for a few days, and the last date for doing the modifications is November 30, 2023. IIT JAM Counselling was concluded after the Round 4 Seat Allotment Result. JAM cutoff 2023 was released for five MSc and Integrated MSc specialisations. The closing cutoff for MSc specialisations including M.Sc. in Chemistry was 552, for M.Sc. in Mathematics it was 469, for M.Sc. in Physics, it was 532, for M.Sc. + M.Tech. in Mathematics Data and Computational Sciences it was 313 and finally for M.Sc. + M.Tech. in Physics and Materials Engineering was 817. IIT JAM cutoff is released for ST, SC and OBC categories candidates. IIT Madras, the examination conducting body of IIT JAM 2024 has extended the deadline of JAM 2024 registration to October 25, 2023. Earlier the last date for filling up the JAM 2024 application form was October 13, 2023, which was later extended to October 20. Interested applicants can visit the official website of IIT JAM 2024 to register themselves first.
