AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), NCTE (National Council for Technical Education), and NBA (National Board of Accreditation) have authorised and accredited a number of Jamia Millia's courses. It was created in 1920 by an Act of the Indian Parliament and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has granted Jamia Millia Islamia University an A+ grade for accreditation. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2023 place the university sixth out of all Indian universities.

As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BSc at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer.
