It offers various courses in science like bsc in physics , chemistry, mathematics, biotechnology etc. As far as biotechnology is concerned, anyone who has passed their 10+2 examinations with subjects physics, chemistry,maths and biology or equivalent degree are eligible. Their is no minimum or maximum cutoff. Seats are alloted based on your rank in the entrance exam. Also, seats are reserved for muslims, sc, st, obc. The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is one of the oldest UGC-approved central universities.
It offers admission to an undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in biotechnology on an entrance exam basis. The eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Sc. in Biotechnology program is that the candidates must have passed the 12th standard or an equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in each science subject, i.e., physics, chemistry, and biology/mathematics.
The admission will be done on the basis of the CUET UG 2022 Exam scores from this academic session. The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the previous qualifying degree exams, performance in the entrance test, and seat availability.
Since CUET results have been released recently, the latest cut-off is yet to be published on the official website of the university. Previously, students needed to score at least 75% to be admitted to university as only 35 seats were available for this course. This year, according to the latest trends, a safe score is above 50% in the CUET exam.
