IIT Jammu placements 2023 concluded recently with an overall 85% placement rate. Other than this, if we compare the past year's cutoff trends for the premium specialisations such as CSE and EE, the competition to get into the institute has increased making it a better option. Other than these, the institute offers amenities, such as well-maintained labs, sport-specific playgrounds, etc. Talking about the infrastructure, IIT Jammu is one of the few IITs of its generation to have a permanent campus and not a temporary or borrowed campus. The total tuition fee for IIT Jammu is INR 8 lakh. Other than the tuition fee, students have to pay other one-time charges and those who opt for hostel facilities are required to pay an extra amount for it. The total seats available for all BTech branches combined are 280 seats. This intake is incluseive of the Gender Neutral and Female-only (including Supernumerary) pools and is inclusive of all student categories, such as Open, Open-PwD, GEN-EWS, GEN-EWS-PwD, SC, SC-PWD, ST and ST-PWD, among others. Candidates are offered seat in IIT Jammu BTech course based on JEE Advanced score.
