IIT - B is the premier institutions amongst IIT. The topper of 2016 opted for this. The closing ranks in different branches differ staggeringly. But, if you want to get admission in any branch, you must have to get the rank below 2K, but if you need specific branch, then you must have rank of 50/ 100.

IISc Bangalore, shortlists candidates based on vacancies available in different categories of students. This is done based on Common rank list. Last year cutoffs declared for SC was 1200.

Scores by OBC students is improving every year. Hence, I feel if you can get around 75+ percentile in JEE Advanced, you should get admission in your desired branch.

It's nice to see you are thinking of JEE advanced. I feel to have surety of admission, you should aim for 70+ percentile so that you get institute of your choice.

CS in IIT K is the most premier course. Good aim. I feel you will need to be in at least 90 percentile bracket to get branch and place of your choice.
