You would not have to wait for the JEE exams and you can apply for engineering right away.

1. Read JEE Advanced syllabus thoroughly and tick marked the topics of your interest.
2. Attempt the above marked topic first.
3. Attempt thoroughly at least last 08 years of papers.
4. Better time management
5. Attempt mock test
6. Strongly focus on your strength (Subjects of your interest) and do not waste your time in attempting lengthy and unknown questions.
7. Not to attempt April JEE Main exam : If you are preparing for this than immediately stop the preparation of JEE Main April exam and give your 100% to JEE Advanced exam.
8. Spent at least 6-8 hours daily in preparation
