As per CBSE's official data, as many as 1043739 candidates have registered for JEE Main 2018 offline paper held on April 8, out of which 646814 were boys, 266745 girls and 3 transgenders. Apart from the test on April 8, the official data for JEE Main 2018 Online held on April 15 and April 16 is not available. For JEE Advanced also, we can know the figures once the registration of JEE Advanced 2018 closes.

Yes, of course you are qualified for JEE Advance with this score and with this rank, as this year the percentile cut-off for the unreserved category was 89.75, for EW it was 78.2 for OBC, it was 74.3 whereas for SC, ST and PwD, it was 54, 44.3 and 0.11, respectively.

Hello Yash,
NTA has not announced any benchmark to guess what could be the cutoff. But going by the last year's data it is expected that around 3L students will be cleared. This translates to a percentile of 70 if 10L students appeared. If more students appeared then cutoff percentile is expected to increase.

Hi Adarsh,
For admission in IITS and for giving JEE advance exam your minimum marks in boards exam should be 70- 75% if you don't fulfill the criteria, then you are not eligible for the same.

 For getting admission in IIT Hyderabad in ECE branch for general category, it is usually between 2000-2500 rank. So, you need to score really good for getting admission. Good luck.

Hi,
JEE Advanced examination is yet to be conducted this year on 27 May 2019. IIT Roorkee holds the responsibility for conducting the exam in computer-based mode. Candidates who have cleared JEE Main will only be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. So, it is too early to answer if you will get admission in IIT or NIT with 70 marks in JEE Advanced examination. It totally depends on the cut-off marks for different categories. Though generally, SC, ST, OBC students do get admissions into IIT with these marks. As per the JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria which is written in the information brochure released by National Testing Agency NTA for appearing in the JEE Main examination, there is no age limit for the candidates. Your son can get admission in any one of the IITs if he gets qualified in JEE Advanced examination. Based on his Advanced exam rank, he will be allotted seat and stream in one of the esteemed IITs.

Firstly, I would suggest you to completely read the information brochure released on JEE Advanced official website.
