CBSE syllabus, material and exam pattern makes students to analyze the concepts clearly than state board because of this reason the state board students feel difficulty in JEE.

Hi Jordan,
The cutoff varies every year according to the number of students applying for examination and number of seats available. It would be advisable that you get in touch with college authorities/official page directly for accurate cutoff.

Hello Saqib,
If you want to get admission in IIT, Bombay then you must have to write JEE advance and score very well in that, however even if you score 1st rank in JEE Mains then also you will not get admission there.

Take up NCERT first complete it and then solve as much numerical as you can from Cengage as it's a good book for prep and take its sample paper. Concentrate on chemistry as it is the most scoring. All the best.

Hi,
I don't think there is any Govt. college which can let you take admission at this point of time as you have missed the counseling dates. However, you may check some private colleges for admission like Thapar, LPU, JIIT, DY Patil, etc.

Hello Abhishek,
Since IIEST-Shibpur comes under JEE counselling, you need to have at least 75% in board exams or 65% (if you belong to SC, ST or PWD). There is another condition also that is, you need to be in the top 20 percentile (you need to be in the top 20% of students from your board) if you are not having 75% or 65%.
Unless you satisfy these conditions, you are not eligible.

Hello Rantu,
Well, the cut-off seems to vary every year so we cannot predict the exact marks needed to get into any IIT's, however roughly you need around 150 marks in JEE Advanced to get any good branch in any IIT's if you belong to general category.
