Hello Anam,
IIT - B is the premier institutions amongst IIT. The topper of 2016 opted for this. The closing ranks in different branches differ staggeringly. But, if you want to get admission in any branch, you must have to get the rank below 2K, but if you need specific branch, then you must have rank of 50/ 100.

Dear Yash,
No, it's not necessary and it depends upon your skills, ability and creativity. If you are dedicated towards your study, you can clear JEE advanced with a good rank. Coaching is just a way to show you path but only you will have to travel on that path. How you travel and how fast you travel, it's totally up to.

JEE consists of two parts, JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. JEE-Advanced is for admission to IITs, while the JEE-Mains exam is for admission to NITs, IIITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Only the students selected in JEE Mains are eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced.

Hello Rnjita,
The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for engineering is 50 percent. Therefore, with minimum 50 percent, you can apply for WBJEE and other state level entrance examinations. For JEE Mains, your minimum percentage should be 60 percent and for JEE Advanced, your percentage should be 75. Your marks in non-science subjects, i.e. Hindi and English doesn't count in deciding the eligibility. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Hello Megha,
It's really good to see that you are thinking of Advanced. It's actually very simple. Assign time for each subject everyday. Assign time for exercise and yoga everyday. Take weekly mock tests. That's all.
