In order to apply for BSc courses at IIT Kharagpur, a candidate must first appear for JEE Advanced. IIT Kharagpur admits students to its BSc courses on the basis of JEE Advanced marks. Thus, interested candidates must register and appear for JEE Advanced exam. The fee for JEE Advanced exam is INR 1,600 for all female, SC, ST and PwD candidates. For all other candidates, application fee is INR 3,200.

JEE Advanced 2024 registrations are now open. Candidates who have qualified JEE Mains 2024 are eligible to apply. The last date to register is May 07, 2024 for all the candidates. The deadline to pay the fees in order to complete the registration process is May 10, 2024. JEE Advanced exam is scheduled on May 26, 2024. Admit card will be available for downloading from May 17, 2024 May 26, 2024.

Students interested to enroll in BSc courses at IIT Kharagpur are required to appear for the qualifying examination which is JEE Advanced. The registrations for the said exam are now open. The last day to register is May 07, 2024 and May 10, 2024 for fee payment. Only those candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2024 are eligible to apply.

No, if you fail in JEE Advanced, you will not be able to secure a seat based on your last year's JEE Main score. Each year, the scores of JEE Main are only valid for that particular year's admissions. If you are unsuccessful in JEE Advanced, you will need to reappear for JEE Main the following year to improve your score and increase your chances of securing a seat in a desired college or university.

IIT Patna accepts multiple state/national entrance exams other than JEE advance for admission to BSc courses. NEET, CUET, BITSAT, etc.,  are other exams accepted by the institute. However, candidates must make sure to first qualify for the BSc eligibility criteria. Qualified candidates just need to apply via the official website of IIT Patna. BSc eligibility criteria: Class 12 in Science Stream with 60% aggregateTherefore, even if a student doesn't have a JEE Advanced score, they can always go for other entrance exam for admission. No you cannot apply for JEE advanced with 28 percentile until and unless you come under physically handicapped category.
