JEE Advanced will be held for 6 hours in total. There are 2 paper in the exam and each paper is of 3 hours duration. This makes the total time of the exam as 6 hours. The exam pattern varies each year. There are 2 papers in the exam. Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced will comprise three separate sections wherein questions will be asked from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. There will be negative marking for answering any question incorrectly in the exam.

JEE Advanced 2025 result will be out on June 2, 2025. Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv. ac. in. To Download JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced). JEE Advanced counselling is called JoSAA. JoSAA 2025 will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority and the dates will be announced for the counselling after the JEE Advanced result. There will be 5 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2025 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide. Candidates who opt Freeze option will be required to complete reporting process between the prescribed deadline. JEE Advanced 2023 admit card will be on May 29. The exam will be held on June 4. Candidates who successfully register for JEE Advanced 2023 by paying the application fee, are issued the JEE Advanced admit card 2023. The test centre is allotted via the admit card only. On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a printed copy of the downloaded admit card and their valid original photo identity card. JEE Advanced will be held in 2 shifts. The paper 1 exam will be held from 9 am to 12 noon. The paper 2 exam will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The pattern of the exam will be as follows:
