If you see "Remarks: Eligible" on your JEE Mains 2024 NTA scorecard, it means you meet the minimal requirements specified by the exam administrators to be eligible for subsequent admission phases, including counselling or other exams. It indicates that you have received a high enough score to be given consideration for admission to participating institutions; nevertheless, it does not ensure a particular seat or branch.

You are ineligible for admission to NITs and IITs, JEE Mains and Advanced, and the West Bengal board if you failed Physics in your Higher Secondary (HS) test. The three subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics must be passed to be eligible for these tests and institutions. You have to pass your Physics exam, which you can do by retaking it or by taking extra tests. Following your successful completion of Physics, you can apply to NITs or IITs for engineering degrees by taking the JEE Mains and Advanced exams.

There isn't any minimum score required for Biochemical Engineering itself. However, it is recommeneded to score a good rank in JEE Main in order to get a specialisation of your choice. Moreover, it also depends from university to university as the eligibility crietria vary.

Candidates can appear in JEE Main irrespective of their percentage in class 12. Candidates must note that there is no requirement for JEE Main eligibility marks in 12th for appearing in the exam. The eligibility criteria of 75% marks is applicable only at the time of taking admission to the institute. Only those candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or appearing in 2024 are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2024. As per JoSAA, it is clearly mentioned that you are eligible for JEE advanced and Mains if you have 75 % from any recognised board. Hence you are eligible as you have 76%.
