From this year onwards, class 12th results do not have any weight-age in JEE Mains and Advanced exam, but you need to score a minimum of 75% if you belong to general or OBC category. It is required to get admission in IITs and NITs.

No, you can't take improvement exam of 2 subjects if you have applied for JEE Mains 2017 because JEE Mains need only one result if you take the exam of 2 subjects then you have to show both the results which is not favoured by JEE Mains.

Hello Raja,
The gap between class 10th and 12th affects not only your eligibility for IIT-JEE, but also your career altogether. IIT-JEE has a birth year criteria. If you've a long gap between your class 10th and 12th examinations, it is bound to affect.

Hi,
For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced) / JEE (Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students, the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination. The states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha and some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system.
