It fluctuates every year on the basis of toughness of the paper but in Advanced, you have to be in top 300 to avail CSE in top IITs.

Marks obtained have definitely a relationship with rank, but it's a dynamic concept. It all depends on how many students have scored more than you. Every year it changes.

Selection to national institutes is based on the cut-off marks scored by a candidate in JEE Mains and the structure of option entry. For the residents of Karnataka, seats may be available if NIT-K is given the first option in the entry. It also depends on the branch selected by the student.

Hey there,
Tips for getting 250+ in JEE Mains:
1) Practise previous year papers.
2) Maintain a proper time table every day for every subject (physics, chemistry and maths).
3) Give online mock tests.
4) Get your basics in each topic clear.
5) Join a coaching institute if you wish. Or else you can order the study materials.
Tips for getting 250+ in JEE Advanced:
1) Practise a lot such that you get familiar with the type of questions.
2) Basics should be very strong.
3) Better to join a coaching institute and give its mock tests and other tests.
4) Strict time scheduling.
5) Refer to various books available in the market and solve or atleast get fam

Hello Aditya!
In JEE Mains, the questions are not that tough but they require high conceptual knowledge and solving skills.
The questions are from PCM only based on classes 11&12 syllabi (NCERT).
First, you can go through the concepts in PCM as they play a major role in any of the exams.
The questions in JEE Mains will be generally easy but you need to master the concepts to be fast in answering as the time is not more.
You can prefer NCERT books for getting conceptual clarity. Then you can prefer TMH (Tata Mc Graw Hill) and Arihant books for PCM concepts as well as problems.

Hello Pratap!
The admission into NITs is based on your ranks in JEE main examination. As you belong To SC category, your category rank should be below 500, so that you can get a seat at the top NITs in CSE.
You have to score 150+, so that you can easily get a seat at the top NITs.

Hello Paghdar,
It actually depends on the institute in which you want to opt for aerospace engineering.
There are caste wise cut off marks to clear JEE Mains which vary every year.
This year the cut off marks were as follows :
General (OC) - 81
OBC-NCL-49
SS-32
ST-27
PWD-1

Every year this university release their cutoff for giving admission in this college and you need to score more than 75% in your 12th and having a decent score in JEE mains which exceeds more than 150 marks.
