Hello Balu,
Since the cut-off for ST category students for JEE Mains 2017 is 27, you have passed it but the score is not very good. You may use the college predictor for JEE Mains which may suggest some colleges for you:
https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor
But, I think, you may not get a top NIT and have medium chances of getting an NIT.
Mention your ranks also so that I may help you.

Hi,
There are lot of other options even if you haven't got into JEE Mains. You can pursue engineering from other college as well.

Your chances are too low because you need at least 75% in 12th to get admission in NITs.

Hello Aditya,
Well, HBTI is taking admission via JEE Mains from this year, so we cannot predict the exact cut-off, but since it is a reputed college then the cut-off must be high, so any score more than 140 in JEE Mains is considered safe for the admission.

If you don't have any category advantage, I would say you drop one year and study hard with a focused approach. Take JEE, BITS and other exams again next year make a good career with a good college.
