Sorry, but you missed the qualifying cut-off. So, there is no chance to get into any of the NIT. So, I will suggest you to get admission in any private university/college.

Try private colleges like VIT, SRM and Manipal. Score good in their entrance exams and you'll find yourself in a good institute.

Hello Rita,
You have managed to score 40 out of 360 in JEE Mains. It's definitely good to dream about admission in best college but, to achieve dreams, you have to work hard. May be you can take break of one year, study hard and seek admission next year.

If you want to get good NITs, you must score atleast 230-240 and with this score, you can take any core branch which you want and your rank should be within 5000 so that there will be no problem. I hope you will like the answer. All the very best!

Dear,
Dropping one year is not a wise decision. 159 is good enough score. I think you will get good NIT with your desired stream. Best wishes.

There's almost negligible chance even for SC/ST reservation students opting for Northeastern Quota. At least from last year.

No, never. You can try RTU colleges with those marks if you want Government colleges. Otherwise, you should go for private colleges.
