It's too difficult to get a good government college with this rank. You can try for some other private colleges.

Hi Pratap,
With a score of 50 marks, his rank will be around 2,75,000. So, only three NITs have the closing ranks in that range. They are nit Sikkim, Mizoram and Aizawal.
I think, it is not worthy to study there as they are not part of the best NITs but if you want to study in an NIT, they are the only option. Try to get some IIITs or GFTIs.
You can apply for counselling through www.josaa.nic.in .
The official closing ranks for each nit will be released later.
