Hello Vignesh,
From this year onwards method of deciding AIR has undergone change. Marks obtained in 12th will not be considered for AIR. Hence, not only marks obtained in JEE Mains but how many students have scored more or less than you only will decide your AIR. However, I am sure after the exam is over there will be few sites which will have some software to do guesswork. Till then I suggest do not think over it but concentrate on your studies.

Hello Sunny,
It's very difficult to answer your query since from this year onwards your marks in JEE Mains only will decide your AIR. What this means is that how others have scored will matter a great deal. As presently there is no way to answer your query, just do not worry and keep studying. After the exams there will be a large number of websites which will claim to answer your query. Till then best wishes.

Hi,
It entirely depends upon the cutoff of that particular year. But, a score of 250+ can give you an upper hand in this case.

You should have scored nearly 200 and above. So you can get good IITs and NITs. If you are an OBC candidate then your rank will be depended on that year's JEE Mains exam and cut off.

You will need to tell me your state of eligibility, your category of reservation and preferred branch if any, then I will be able to tell you the cut off score. Get back to me with these details and I will reply back to you. By the way for general category, and outside Delhi almost all the branches get exhausted by 5000 rank to give you a perspective. Please upvote the answer if it is useful.

Hi Deep,
To get admission in SVNIT - Surat, the marks obtained in class 12th will not be considered this year. The score in JEE Mains will be counted. Your AIR will now be based on these marks. Hence, my advice is not to worry and concentrate on preparation for the exam.
Best of luck.
