There is no such thing as fixed passing marks out of 300 in JEE Main. Instead, qualification is dependent upon the cutoff percentile, which keeps varying year-wise based on variables like difficulty of the exam, the number of candidates appearing for it, and available seats. For the general category, the cutoff percentile ranges approximately 88-90 and thus marks to score around 70-90 marks. In reserved categories, cutoff is much lower, thereby easy qualification. These cutoffs determine eligibility for JEE Advanced and admissions to top colleges. Always check the official cutoff for the year you are appearing to stay updated.

Hey rio,I got 69 marks in 12th Board math and got 92% in jee. I cant apply for nit's but I got good college with this rank. Let me give the details:You can write jee marks withouy any minimum marks in board but for getting admission in NIT, IIT or gift universities you should have 75% [65% for sc/st] in your boards or top 20% in your repective board. With good jee percentage like above 90%, you can get many good unversities. So if you have low marks in 12th, you can consider jee as option. For the GATE again, there is no minimum percentage required in the qualifying degree. Any qualified graduate degree in engineering, technology,

With a JEE Main rank of 413,000, your chances of getting admission to L.D. College of Engineering (LDCE) in Gujarat may be challenging. LDCE is a well-known engineering college, and the cutoff ranks for popular branches like Computer Science or Electronics tend to be much lower. However, you might have a chance for admission in less competitive branches or through the management quota, if available. It's important to regularly check LDCE's official admission portal for updates on cutoff ranks and explore alternative options such as state-level exams or private colleges.

Inconsistent names across documents, like your 10th and 12th marksheets, can sometimes cause confusion during the admission process. However, it generally won't directly affect your JEE 2025 admission, as long as you have supporting documents to clarify the discrepancy. To avoid any issues, it's advisable to:Provide an affidavit: You can submit an affidavit or a gazette notification stating that both names refer to the same person.Check with authorities: Before your JEE application, contact the exam authority or the college for guidance and to ensure all your documents are in order. It's always better to clarify these discrepancies well

Admission to the B.Tech Mathematics and Computing program at IISc (Indian Institute of Science) through JEE Mains typically requires a high rank, as IISc is one of the premier institutes in India. While the exact cutoff varies each year based on factors like the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability, a rank within the top 250-300 is generally considered competitive. For JEE Mains 2025, it will be good to aim for a percentile above 99 to improve your chances of admission.
