Yes, admission to the B.E. / B.Tech course at M.S. Engineering College is possible without JEE Main. The college takes entrance exams other than KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) for admitting students. Students may get a seat based on the merit secured in these state-level entrance exams, and admissions are strictly based on merit. Although some institutions accept JEE Main, M.S. Engineering College offers alternative routes through regional entrance exams, which gives flexibility to students who did not appear for JEE Main.

The admission at SRM is based on the scores in SRMJEEE and not with JEE Mains since SRM is a private University.Candidates are awarded scholarships like the Founder's Scholarship and the SRM Merit Scholarship as per their performance in the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) and other criteria. Scholarships are offered to SRMJEEE 2025 rank holders up to rank 30000.
