If you fail in JEE Advanced, you can still seek admission to other colleges based on your JEE Main score from the same year. Many engineering colleges, including NITs, IIITs, and private institutions, accept JEE Main scores for admission.

To join NIT Narula Institute of Technology (NIT) for a B.Tech program, you need a valid score in either JEE Main or WBJEE. The institute requires students to have completed their 10+2 exams with Physics, Mathematics, and one other subject, such as Chemistry or Computer Science, along with securing the minimum marks in these subjects (45% for general category, 40% for reserved categories). Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering can also make you eligible. Without these entrance exam scores, direct admission is not typically possible.

The JEE Main cutoff at SIMS - Sanghvi Institute of Management and Science varies from year to year and course to course. Closing rank for B.E. Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2023 was nearly 657,596. Cutoff ranks in previous years were 755,871 in 2022 and 342,658 in 2021. Fluctuating trend in admission is depicted by these figures. It accepts scores in JEE Main as its selection criteria, and candidates must target ranks as that may increase the possibilities for admission.
