If you fail in JEE Advanced, you can still seek admission to other colleges based on your JEE Main score from the same year. Many engineering colleges, including NITs, IIITs, and private institutions, accept JEE Main scores for admission.

For popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), the closing rank was approximately between 26,000 and 32,000. To join NIT Narula Institute of Technology (NIT) for a B.Tech program, you need a valid score in either JEE Main or WBJEE. The institute requires students to have completed their 10+2 exams with Physics, Mathematics, and one other subject, such as Chemistry or Computer Science, along with securing the minimum marks in these subjects (45% for general category, 40% for reserved categories). Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering can also make you eligible. Without these entrance exam scores, direct admission is not typically possible.
