With your JEE Main CRL rank of 552666 and SC category rank of 40086, it may be difficult to get admission to NIT Karnataka (NITK) through the CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board), especially for high-demand branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE). However, you still have a chance for other branches under the SC category, as the cutoff ranks for different branches vary each year and depend on the number of seats, category-wise reservations, and the number of applicants. Generally, NITs have a significant number of seats reserved for SC candidates, which can improve your chances for certain branches.

When completing the JEE Mains application form you should enter your improvement score if it is higher than the original score. JEE Main - Main considers the best of the two scores for ranking and eligibility. If your improvement score is lower or you haven't received the result yet it's better to stick with the original score. Make sure you include accurate information as per the official guidelines. It's always a good idea to check the official JEE Main website for the latest instructions before submitting your form.
