See I also got low score in JEE Mains and I had to take a drop. One most important thing is that you have to support your son because when I got failed, I also got very stressed and one thing that I need was the support of family and loved ones. You have to make him feel that you are with him and he should not stress about whatever happened, only thing is what is in-front of him. Make him calm and happy, these kinds of situations come in life to teach something.

According to your percentile and category, you can not get IT and CSE in NITs but you can go for some good private colleges or state government engineering colleges.

It is very hard to get MNIT or IIIT in this score, you may go for state government college like MBM Jodhpur etc.

As you have already take the drop so the very first thing is that you have to cover the syllabus of class 11th and 12th according to JEE point of view and avoid the backlog. Then there are many online flatform from where you got online mock. Kindly give the mock test on the regular basis so that you will good at time management and easily handle the examination pressure. Try to score good in mocks so that your confidence also boost. GOOD LUCK!

It's very hard to get any government college at this rank but you can easily get private colleges. Here are some of the best colleges:
- Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh
- LPU
- Chandigarh University
- KIIT University.

There are various reputed engineering institutes that accept the 50-60 percentile in JEE Main. One need minimum 50 % in most of the cases for aerospace engineering. You can search about top 10 colleges for aeronautical engineering. Also you can use Shiksha predictor.

For example, if a candidate's percentile score is 95, it means that the candidate has scored equal to or better than 95% of the candidates who appeared in the examination. The percentile is calculated separately for each category of students (I. e. , General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD) based on their respective category-wise rank. So, the percentile score is not common for all category students. The formula used to calculate percentile score is as follows:
