No, don't drop a year just for JEE Mains. Drop only if you are targeting JEE Advance and if you want IITs. Still if you are confident enough that you can do very well in JEE Mains next year and are sure to get top NITs, then only drop the year otherwise it's a waste of time.

If you want to qualify JEE Mains then it is not necessary to take coaching. But if you are targeting JEE Advance and have taken a year's drop for only IITs then you should go for coaching. Preparation for JEE Mains is not that difficult. It just requires consistency and sitting hours. Focus thoroughly on class 11th and 12th.

You should drop if you think after appearing for the exam next year, you will clear it.
Although dropping a year is a good idea if you focus only on studies the whole year continuously, regularly and consistently.
All the best.

Hello,
I hope you are doing well. You need to follow NCERT syllabus for IIT-JEE because this exam comes under the NCERT. For physics you may go for HC Verma, maths by Agrawal and chemistry by NCERT.

Hello,
I hope you are doing well. Yes defiantly you can prepare for IIT-JEE examination along with your 12th board. So you need time management and allocation for each and every subject you are studying. Do allocate some time for 12th preparation and then allocate some time for JEE Mains and Advance preparation. Go through this schedule you will get good result.

For JEE Mains, it is enough to solve NCERT, MTG Maths and practice previous year papers. You can also practice from SL Loney (for trigonometry). For JEE Advanced more practice is required from slandered books.
