Yes, the JEE Main 2024 syllabus has been reduced. The revisions focus on core concepts, with several units and chapters removed. In Mathematics, the units on Mathematical Induction and Mathematical Reasoning have been excluded. For Physics, the Communication Devices unit is no longer part of the syllabus. In Chemistry, chapters such as Surface Chemistry, States of Matter, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, and Polymers have been omitted.

The syllabus for the JEE and OJEE is not completely the same, but there is some overlap, particularly in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In JEE physics syllabus topic such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics, etc. are covered which require extensive and deep understanding of the fundamental principles.
