Candidates can appear for a total 6 times in JEE Mains. The number of attempts is calculated from the year of passing class 12. For example, if a candidate have passed class 12 in 2023, he/she can appear in both attempts of 2023 as well of both attempts of JEE Main 2024 and 2025.If a candidate opts not to appear in the exam in a year/session, that attempt will forfeit.
