The eligibility to pursue design:
One needs to pass 12th class with a minimum of 50% marks. The process of admission to design is through an entrance examination. This is known as Common Entrance Examination for Design UCEED it is conducted by IIT Mumbai every year. Reputed institutes conduct their own entrance exams. Top colleges are:
National Institute of Fashion Technology
Indian Institute of Art and Design Mumbai
National Institute of Design
Lovely professional University, Punjab

Yes, it's possible as there is no problem in taking commerce stream or science stream for doing jewellery designing course. You should have 10+2 and if you are of the view about you are commerce stream and jewellery designing. So, let me tell you that B.Sc is just a foundation. In the main jewellery deasign course, you will learn about jewellery designing only not about B.Sc.

Jewellery Designing is a profession with great scope in India and abroad. The pay packet varies according to qualification, experience and skills. At the initial stage, a trainee jewellery designer can expect a salary of Rs 7,000-Rs 8,000 per month. With experience, they would be paid a sum of Rs. 18,000 to 20,000 per month. These are the pros and cons of being an interior designer:
Pros
1. Creative approach to everything. A sense of creativity starts to develop in a person
2. The client is the only boss you have
3. You get the credit for your own work
Cons
1. As a beginner, one will have to work at a lower price than other interior designers. Once your name is out and the business is set in the market, you might earn better than others but can years.
2. Clients in this business are sometimes extremely picky. They might set down an impossible design. Patience and good communication skill is very important to tackle such people.
