NUSRL Ranchi offers a wide range of law courses. It accepts the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score to select candidates. The consortium of NLUs releases the cutoffs for admissions to various law courses in different NLUs. According to the NLU Ranchi CLAT cutoff 2024 for the Fifth Round of Allotment, the Last Round ranks for the General AI category for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights were in 1594 and 1623, respectively. Similarly, for the OBC AI category, the Last Round was 3005 and 3234, respectively, for both courses. The university provides Domicile-based scholarships to students having a domicile of Jharkhand. Such students are awarded with 10% scholarship.
