No, direct admission is not available for M.Tech at IIIT Ranchi. To get admission in IIIT Ranchi, candidates must score a good rank in GATE and apply through . Candidates will be able to make their choices online for Institute selection. Select IIIT Ranchi as the preferred institute from the list of Institutes provided. GATE qualified candidates will have to register for CCMT counselling through its official website to acquire a seat at the institute or written test and/or interview by the respective departments at IIIT Ranchi.

IIIT Ranchi offers B.Tech for four years, which is eight semesters and offers specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (with Specialisation Data Science and Artificial Intelligence), and a few more. IIIT Ranchi B.Tech admissions are merit based. The total seat intake of B.Tech at IIIT Ranchi is 270.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi application fee is around INR 1000 and for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates it is INR 500.  To apply for BTech at IIIT Ranchi, candidates need to Apply for JEE Main, where the application fee for  male and female General candidates is INR 1000 and INR 800, respectively. Also candidates need to apply for JoSAA Counselling where an application fee of INR 625 for boys and INR 325 for girls must be paid.
