For IPM admission, candidates will be chosen based on a 95% allocation of JIPMAT scores and a 5% allocation for females. The overall JIPMAT score for male candidates is what is used as the cutoff for admission. If you're a female then you have little bit chances of getting admission is your score is below JIPMAT cutoff. However, make candidate is totally merit based which is 100% JIPMAT score.

Candidates must enhance their overall exam preparation to score better in the JIPMAT exam. A good JIPMAT score improves the chances of a candidate meeting the JIPMAT cutoff. JIPMAT cutoff will shortlist candidates for the admission process conducted by IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. To enhance the JIPMAT preparation, candidates must practise the previous years question papers and take as many mock tests as possible. JIPMAT is comparatively an easy exam, however, qualifying the cutoff becomes difficult as nearly 7000 candidates fight for 120 seats offered for IPM admission at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya.

Class 12 scores will not affect the JIPMAT cutoff scores. However, the final admission criteria may include the Class 10 and Class 12 scores to select candidates. JIPMAT participating Iims release separate admission policy every year. In the past admission session, both IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya have considered the Class 10 and Class 12 level scores while selecting candidates for admission. However, as per the IIM Jammu IPM admission policy, no weightage has been provided to the board exam scores. IIM BG is yet to release the detailed admission policy for IPM courses. JIPMAT cutoffs are only responsible to shortlist candidates for admission. Shortlisted candidates have to pay EOI fees to express their interest for the available seats. All candidates who pay the EOI fees are considered for the selection process. The IPM selection process at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya may comprise the following parameters as per the revised admission policy:
- Class 10 marks
- Class 12 marks
- JIPMAT scores
- Candidate's gender
Female candidates have an additional weightage while preparing the list of selected candidates. Both IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya have a separate admission policy.

JIPMAT cutoff scores are considered to shortlist candidates for admission. The final admission takes multiple parameters into account, including the academic performance of the candidates, JIPMAT scores, reservation criteria, number of seats, and gender of the candidate. While preparing the list of selected candidates, JIPMAT participating Iims will follow the weightage as per the selection criteria. Candidates who have paid the EOI fees but exceed the number of available seats are kept on waitlist. If any of the selected candidates cancel their admission, waitlisted candidates are considered for admission.

JIPMAT participating Iims will release the sectional cutoff scores to shortlist candidates for further admission process. The final admission criteria does not have a weightage for the sectional cutoff. Both IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya provide a weightage to the overall JIPMAT score, academic performance and gender of the candidate who pays the EOI fees. Those who do not meet the JIPMAT sectional cutoff scores are marked ineligible for payment of the EOI fees. Further, such candidates are not considered for evaluation under the final admission criteria.
