There is no specified lower range for minimum marks required for admission at JIPMER, Pondicherry. The cutoffs are subjective to change every year. However, as per JIPMER eligibility criteria 2024, students from general category and EWS are required to secure at least 50% marks combined in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) are required to score 40% marks. The admission also includes evaluation of the marks secured in any entrance test.

Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry is a government institution which became an institute of national importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in 2008 and is free to manage its internal administration.The Indian academy college of nursing is a private institute so there the fees is very high and the facilities won't be that good. Always remember one thing goverment institutes are the best for studies. Never go for the private institutes. JIPMER offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses viz. MBBS, MD/MS and B.Sc/M.Sc programs along with several Diploma and certificate courses. The Institute also offers DM/M.Ch/Fellowship at the super-speciality level and a PhD at the research level. JIPMER cutoff as per the data are shown below -         AIIMS JIPMER Pondicherry GEN - 649  690EWS - 641  675OBC - 643  680 SC  -  557  637Yes, JIPMER is tough and the competition is very high but don't lose your hope you can crack the exam easily by studying hard and preparing your self  for the exam. You can also try for the AIIMS. AIIMS is also a very well known institution which really good for medical studies

Minimum Marks: Candidate must score the minimum of 50% marks (for GEN/EWS), 40% marks (OBC/SC/ST/OPH) & 45% marks (GEN-OPH) in PCB stream. Eligibility Certificate: Candidates those have passed the qualifying examination other than the above mentioned subjects have to produce the eligibility certificate.And for the JIPMER exam:-Assuming you belong to the general category, as you haven't mentioned yours, you need 700+ for JIPMER Puducherry and 630+ for JIPMER Karaikal (As the previous year cut-off is 696 for JIPMER Puducherry and 623 for JIPMER Karaikal) and 650+ for other government medical colleges.
