In JISCE every course is best in their domain but as far as the innovation, research and holistic studies are concerned ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) is the best engineering course. CSE and CST are also equally best as the demand is very high for these course.

If a student fails in the internal examination, he/she have to appear in the next internal examination for improving their score because there is no provisions of re-test for the examination. If you fail then you can do nothing about it. If you fail in the semester examination you will have the backlog.

The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is calculated using a credit-based approach at JIS College of Engineering. The CGPA is a measure of a student's academic performance during the course of their studies.For Example grade points are multiple with the credit of the paper for the credit points to calcualte credit points. Then it is converted to CGPA by dividing by total credit of all the papers.

The median package for B.Tech courses is 4.5 LPA based on 2022 placements drive. The students gets multiple placements based on their scores and their experience. The packages may go upto 10 LPA based on the performance of students.

Well if someone misses its Internal Exam in the college, he/she has to submit an application with a proper reason for missing the exam. There is no provision for retest in the case of Internal Examination, the student will have another chance in the next internal examination to improve his/her score. As there are two internal test in every semester the students, the score is chosen in best of 2 format. It might not be a problem if missed the exam for  valid reason. Also 75% attendance is strictly mandatory for appearing in all kinds of exams.

Currently, it has been ranked second after IIT Kharagpur in the NIRF Rankings for Innovation, and these two institutions are the only ones in the state to get that ranking. Hi,
JIS College of Engineering is primarily an engineering college and does not offer a B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration program. It is possible that there may be some changes or updates in the course offerings or programs since my last knowledge update in September 2021.

Yes, JIS College of Engineering, located in Kalyani, West Bengal, does accept TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) quota in WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) for admission to its undergraduate engineering programs.
TFW seats are reserved for students whose family income is less than INR 2.5 lakhs per annum, and they are exempted from paying tuition fees.
